Product information "VERISURE Steam Type 5 Migrating integrator (250 pcs.)"
Movable chemical integrator (migrator) for monitoring steam sterilisation processes between 118 °C and 138 °C. It consists of a paper wick and a steam- and temperature-sensitive chemical pellet contained in a paper/foil/film laminate. The chemical pellet melts and migrates as a dark streak along the paper wick. The migration is visible through an area marked 'ACCEPT’ or 'REJECT’, indicating whether the sterilisation conditions have been met. The extent of migration depends on steam quality, time and temperature. The 'ACCEPT’ result is achieved when a theoretical spore population has reached its kill time, indicating that the integration condition has been met.
The integrator with extender helps to remove the indicator from bags/packaging and ensures better visibility in trays.
After processing, the chemical indicator endpoint of the VERISURE™ Steam Type 5 Migrating Indicator / Process Challenge Device is stable and remains unchanged when stored under the recommended storage conditions for a period of 6 months.
