The BIOTRACE™ Protein Pen surface test has been specifically developed to detect and quantify protein residues on medical instruments following the cleaning process. The compact and intuitive Protein Pen helps healthcare staff to check the cleanliness of medical devices prior to sterilisation and reinforces infection prevention protocols. Samples are taken from various surfaces using a swab. The system triggers a distinct colour change in the presence of proteins, thus providing a rapid and reliable result.
