thermosept® Xtra enzymatic cleaner is an enzymatic cleaning concentrate for the automated reprocessing of thermostable and thermolabile medical devices such as surgical instruments, MIS and micro instruments, robotic instruments, anaesthesia material, ophthalmological instruments, containers, laboratory utensils and glass, surgical shoes, bedpans and other medical devices commonly used in central sterile supply departments (CSSD), as well as rigid and flexible endoscopes including endoscopy accessories. thermosept® Xtra enzymatic cleaner is intended for thermal reprocessing in washer-disinfectors (WD) and container washing machines. For chemo-thermal reprocessing in washer disinfectors for endoscopes (WD), the product is compatible with the disinfecting components thermosept® ED (glutaraldehyde-based) and thermosept® PAA (peracetic acid-based). The excellent cleaning performance is based on the combination of an innovative surfactant system with high-performance enzymes. Even at low dosages, thermosept® Xtra enzymatic cleaner removes organic impurities such as blood, proteins, tissue residues, mucus and fatty soil. The product has excellent material compatibility, even with sensitive materials such as anodised aluminium and non-ferrous metal. With a pH value of >10, a ten-minute cleaning time and an increased, non-protein-fixing process temperature in the cleaning bath, thermosept® Xtra enzymatic cleaner helps to minimise the risk of vCJD in accordance with the RKI recommendation.
