Larger gastric channel for improved patient safety. The diameter of the gastric channel has been increased to allow insertion of a larger gastric tube, which can reduce the risk of aspiration and improve patient safety.
New intubation ramp to optimise use as an intubation tube. An intubation ramp has been incorporated into the airway channel where the channel enters the non-inflatable cuff bowl. This helps to ensure that when the device is used as an intubation channel (with visualisation), the tracheal tube emerges from the i-gel® Plus at the optimal angle to allow reliable and safe passage through the vocal cords and into the trachea.
Longer cuff tip to improve oesophageal seal. i-gel® Plus features a slight extension of the cuff tip. This can help to improve oesophageal seal and, in combination with the larger gastric channel, provide a high level of protection against aspiration.
Additional oxygen port for passive oxygen administration during cardio-celebral resuscitation (CCR).
Colour-coded hook ring for use with a specially designed fastening strap.
