Particularly absorbent, wound-compatible dressing pads with a specially designed absorbent core of soft cellulose fluff blended with a fluid-retaining superabsorber, enclosed in a non-woven fluid distribution layer, on the side facing away from the wound, the product features a special water-repellent yet air-permeable non-woven layer for protection against contamination, which is coloured in green to avoid application errors, the entire product is enclosed in a soft two-layer non-adhering outer non-woven which has a high capillary activity through which exudate can pass quickly to be retained in the absorbent core, soft and air-permeable, conforms easily to body contours and has a high cushioning effect, individually sealed.
