ASP™ Tyvek® bags with STERRAD™ Chemo Indicator are designed to wrap medical devices to be terminally sterilised using STERRAD™ sterilisation systems and cycles in both single and double bag configurations and to indicate by colour change whether the roll has been in contact with the sterilant. Once the sterilisation process is complete, the pouch is used to maintain the sterility of the enclosed device until use. The pouches are printed with a chemo-indicator strip. This is a process indicator (ISO 11140-1:2014 [Type 1]) that changes colour from red to the colour indicated on the packaging (or lighter) when exposed to hydrogen peroxide vapour during reprocessing in the STERRAD™ sterilisation systems.
