The load control indicator is designed in such a way that it is only penetrated by the steam if the steriliser’s steam penetration capability is sufficient. When the indicator in the process challenge device is exposed to the defined combination of temperature and steam for the specified period of time, it will undergo a clear colour change from yellow to blue/violet.
