The sterilisation bags are ready for immediate use. They are self-adhesive and have an open side for filling the pouches with the sterilised items. After filling, this side is sealed with an adhesive strip that is resistant to hot air and steam. The pouches are suitable for steam and/or ethylene oxide and consist of two layers:
- a layer of durable medical paper and tinted polyester/polypropylene plastic
In addition to its excellent sterilisation properties, the film is characterised by very good peelability. Three chemical indicators are labelled on the paper side: Steam, gas, chemical vapour, which indicate an indication of successful sterilisation in the form of colour discolouration.
