A sterile, single use over-the-needle peripheral intavascular catheter with winged hub and injection port intended for accessing the peripheral vascular system.
The Surflo®-WP catheter is made of three detachable parts:
- a radio-opaque catheter made of FEP connected to a transparent catheter hub fitted with small jointed wings and to an injection port with a colour-coded cap.
- an internal needle with a female luer base with a cone rising at an angle of 6%, transparent and colourless, allowing flashback to be seen, fitted with a removable filter that allows air to escape.
- an opaque, luer-lock cap.
The needle and the catheter are coated with medical grade silicone.
All these parts fit one inside the other, the cannula and the needle are covered by a protector.Does not contain components made of PVC or natural rubber latex.
