The S-Monovette® blood collection system allows you to choose whichever collection technique you prefer. Blood can be collected using either the aspiration or vacuum method. For multiple draws, the puncture can be carried out using the aspiration technique whilst the cannula is in place. Thanks to the high transparency of the screw cap, you benefit from excellent control over the puncture. When using the vacuum technique, the Monovette should only be connected once the puncture has been successfully completed. It is then possible to switch the S-Monovette® to drip-free multiple draws.
Combination options: For blood collection from Luer connections, the S-Monovette® can be combined with the Multi-Adapter. For blood collection using a winged cannula, the Multifly® cannula – which connects directly to the S-Monovette® – is available with a complete adapter. This S-Monovette® ensures an impermeable separation layer between the serum and the blood clot after centrifugation. The particular advantage of the Gel-S-Monovette® lies in its use as a primary tube, including for direct adaptation to standard analytical instruments.
