The PRIMELine® PRO aluminium container lid is equipped with Aesculap's proven permanent germ retention system. This consists of a cartridge in which a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) filter is securely integrated. This germ barrier has been validated for 5,000 sterilisation cycles in accordance with EN 868-8 (2009), Annex H, and thus typically enables lifelong functionality (in everyday hospital use). This means that filter replacement is not normally necessary, saving time and process costs.
