PGA RESOQUICK is a braided thread made from the polymer glycolic acid. Individual filaments of PGA RESOQUICK are extruded with diameters of 0.015 mm, stretched in bundles and anti-capillary braided. The result is a pleasantly soft and flexible braided thread. The special Resolacton coating wraps itself finely around the fibre bundles. The linear high-molecular polyglycolic acid is synthesised under the influence of a catalyst. The accelerated absorption compared to PGA Resorba is achieved by a modified manufacturing process. With PGA RESOQUICK, the faster degradation to CO2 takes place in the tissue through water absorption in the metabolism. The thread coating ensures very good handling properties and minimises tissue trauma by specifically reducing surface friction. Tear resistance "50%": approx. 7 days Needle type: 1/2-circular, round-body needle 22 mm.
