PGA RESOQUICK is a braided thread made of a polymer of glycolic acid. PGA RESOQUICK's individual filaments are extruded with a diameter of 0.015 mm, stretched in bundles and braided in an anti-capillary fashion. The result is a pleasantly soft and flexible braided thread. The special resolactone coating covers the fibre bundles finely. The linear high-molecular polyglycolic acid is synthesised under the influence of a catalyst. The accelerated resorption, compared to PGA Resorba, is achieved by a modified manufacturing process. The faster degradation to CO2 occurs in the tissue through water absorption in the metabolism. The coating of the thread ensures excellent handling properties and minimal tissue trauma by specifically reducing surface friction. Tensile strength '50%’: approx. 7 days Needle type: 1/2-round, round body needle 17 mm.
