Omniflush® with SwabCap® is suitable for flushing vascular accesses in non-sterile areas - and for immediate disinfection of the membrane valve used. The SwabCap® is a disinfectant cap with a particle-free sponge soaked in 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA). It is designed to protect needle-free membrane valves as a physical barrier and as a disinfectant cleaner to prevent microbial contamination. For disinfection, the SwabCap® is screwed directly onto the respective membrane valve and can remain there for up to 7 days until the next use of the access. Complete disinfection of the membrane surface takes place within 5 minutes after screwing on the disinfection cap. After disconnecting the SwabCap®, the IV access can be used immediately.
