OPTIME® sterile synthetic surgical sutures consist of a homopolymer of glycolic acid coated with a mixture of polycaprolactone and calcium stearate or a mixture of poly(glycolide-co-lactide) acid (30/70) and calcium stearate. The sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture OPTIME® is indicated for general use as an absorbable suture for suturing and/or ligating tissue, including ophthalmic procedures.
Fields of application: General surgery, visceral surgery, gynaecology, orthopaedics, dental surgery, ophthalmology and cardiovascular surgery.
