The novel medical drinking-help is developed especially for patients (for example with diverse restrictions of flexibility of the upper extremities, with cervical spine- syndrome, arthrosis in the region of cervical spine resp. neck- and shoulder region, signs of paralysis attributable to apoplexy, etc), which are unfit to empty their drinking vessel.
At emptying of a standard drinking-vessel resp. feeding cup, there is a danger of overexpansion of the gullet at the above mentioned disease patterns, for that reason the patient can choke on. This aspect is more dangerous at old patients, even the normal swallowing process is restricted.
The novel designed medical drinking-help enables the patient to drink independent and at lying - without swallow up.
This will be enabled by a special ergonomic designing of the cap, which allows the patient to empty the beaker without moving the head.
Furthermore, the nursing staff will be able to supervise hydration.
