The Mikro 185 requires little space on the laboratory bench. It is the smallest member of the microcentrifuge range of Hettich and is ideal as a personal centrifuge for researchers in life sciences. The centrifuge has a capacity of 24 reaction tubes. This microcentrifuge enables separation steps required for sample preparation in various molecular biology applications to be performed rapidly and reliably. For very short centrifugation runs, for example to centrifuge down droplets, it is sufficient to press the pulse button. The centrifuge runs for as long as the button is held down, at the pre-selected speed.
Small and easy to transport. In addition to holding 1.5 / 2.0 ml standard tubes, it can also hold 0.2 ml PCR tubes or 0.5 ml tubes if adapters are used. The centrifuge is operated through a user-friendly keypad. The control system for the MIKRO 185 is tailored to the requirements for a personal centrifuge. The focus is on the main parameters without the use of programs: the run time and speed can be selected by pressing a button. The lid is opened by simply pressing a button.
