MARLIN® II is a synthetic absorbable suture material made of polyglycolic acid that is characterized by a particularly high linear tensile strength. This ensures a stable suture. This suture is of exceptionally high quality due to its precision braiding and coating. It is pleasantly soft and is characterized by its suppleness and low sawing effect. The knot can be placed precisely and repositioned perfectly.
Degradation in the body takes place by hydrolysis with very little tissue reaction. The tensile strength is still approx. 50 % after 22 to 24 days and resorption is completed after approx. 90 days.
