MARLIN® is a synthetic absorbable suture material made of polyglycolic acid. The supple surface enables soft tissue pull-through and does not cut. The monofilament suture has high tensile strength, and a perfect knot fit.
Degradation in the body takes place by hydrolysis with very little tissue reaction. The tensile strength is still approx. 50 % after 14 to 16 days and resorption is completed after approx. 90 days.
