MARLIN® is a synthetic absorbable suture made of polyglycolic acid. The supple surface allows soft tissue traction and does not cut. The monofilament thread has high tensile strength and a perfect knot fit.Tensile strength is reduced by 50 per cent after 14 to 16 days, after about 90 days degradationis completed.
