During the development of Leukoplast® Strip, special emphasis was placed on high-quality materials and a durable yet flexible wound edge adaptation. The specially knitted material reduces the risk of skin maceration and allows moisture to pass through. The interwoven polyamide threads guarantee the special elasticity of Leukoplast® Strip. This intelligent structure adapts to the different healing stages of a wound. The strong and at the same time skin-friendly adhesive guarantees a quick and safe adaptation of the wound edges. Rounded corners prevent the material from rolling up and ensure long durability on the skin. If the skin suture or staple is removed early, Leukoplast® Strip can improve the cosmetic scar result. Leukoplast® Strips consist of white or skin-coloured, microporous polyamide fabric, coated with an acrylic polymer adhesive. Leukoplast® Strips are suitable for atraumatic skin closure of small wounds and incisions, for use on thin or sensitive skin and as a supplement to skin sutures.
