The gauze swabs are used to treat wounds and for skin disinfection. The gauze (DIN EN 14079, type 20) is looped into a round shape without a rubber ring. Before use, sterilisation must be carried out using a validated procedure (moistheat at 121°C/134°C, 2 to 3 bar, according to DIN EN ISO 17665, radiation according to DIN EN ISO 11137 or ethylene oxide according to DIN EN ISO 11135).
