Granudacyn® wound irrigation solution is a ready-to-use wound irrigation solution for cleaning and rinsing acute, chronic and contaminated wounds. Wound cleaning prevents wound infections. In the case of already infected wounds, supplementary wound irrigation can help to significantly reduce the bacterial load. This results from the mechanical effect of the irrigation and thus promotes wound healing. Granudacyn® wound irrigation solution can be used for thorough cleaning of the following:
- All chronic wounds of any depth, such as diabetic foot ulcers, all forms of leg ulcers, pressure ulcers
- All acute wounds such as cuts, bites, lacerations, tears and abrasions
- Surgical wounds (intra- and post-operative)
- wounds with exposed cartilage, tendons, ligaments or bones
- 1st and 2nd degree burns
- radiation ulcers
- fistulas and abscesses
- body cavities such as the mouth, nose and ears
- critically colonised or infected wounds
- soft tissue injuries
