To manufacture GLYCOLON®, the two material components polyglycolic acid and caprolactone are copolymerised in a specific ratio. The polymer thread material is broken down in the tissue by absorbing water, reversing the synthesis process.
Short-term absorbable monofilament. After implantation, the tensile strength decreases to 30% after 7 days. GLYCOLON® has excellent handling and sliding properties due to the smooth and monofilament surface structures of the polymer. Needle type: 1/2 circular, round body needle, cutting tip 18 mm.
