To produce GLYCOLON®, the two material components polyglycolic acid and caprolactone are copolymerised in a specific ratio. The polymer thread material is degraded in the tissue by water absorption in the reverse of the synthesis.
Short-term resorbable monofilament. After implantation, the tensile strength decreases to 30% after 7 days. GLYCOLON® has excellent handling and gliding properties due to the smooth and monofilament surface structures of the polymer. Needle type: 3/8-circular, cutting needle 13 mm, PREMIUM cut.
