Cosmopor® transparent is a self-adhesive transparent film dressing with a central absorbent wound pad. It consists of a semi-permeable, waterproof and transparent polyurethane film coated with a polyacrylate adhesive. The wound pad is made of viscose fibres and is covered with a polyethylene mesh that serves as a non-adhesive wound contact layer. Cosmopor® transparent can be used in the postoperative care of wounds with low exudate levels, as a barrier to prevent the penetration of bacteria and as a dressing for minor injuries.
