Cosmopor® transparent is a self-adhesive transparent film dressing with a central absorbent wound pad. It consists of a semi-permeable, waterproof and transparent polyurethane film coated with a polyacrylate adhesive. The wound pad is made of viscose fibre and is covered with a polyethylene mesh, which serves as a non-adhesive wound contact layer. Cosmopor® transparent can be used in the post-operative treatment of slightly exuding wounds, as protection against the penetration of bacteria and as a dressing for minor injuries.
