The Clungene® COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Detection Kit is a lateral flow immunoassay method for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid antigens in nasopharyngeal swabs and oropharyngeal swabs from individuals suspected of having COVID-19 infection. The results are used to detect the SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid antigen. Antigen is generally detectable in nasopharyngeal swabs and oropharyngeal swabs during the acute phase of infection. Positive results indicate the presence of viral antigens, but clinical relevance to the patient's history and other diagnostic information is required to determine infection status.The COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Detection Kit is intended for use by trained clinical laboratory personnel who have been specifically instructed and trained in the in vitro diagnostic procedure.
