Product information "Biatain Silicone Non-Border wound pad 10 x 10 cm (10 pcs.)"
Biatain® Silicone Non-Border is a soft and flexible polyurethane foam dressing with a vapour-permeable but bacteria- and water-repellent top film, a gentle and perforated, full-surface silicone adhesion and turquoise protective films.
Biatain® Silicone is indicated for a wide range of low to heavily exuding wounds in patients weighing 40 kg or more. These include acute wounds such as split skin graft sites, post-operative wounds and traumatic wounds, as well as chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and non-infected diabetic foot syndrome. Biatain® Silicone Non-Border provides high absorption and retention of exudate under compression to reduce the risk of maceration and can be left on the wound for up to 7 days. The gentle silicone adhesion minimises pain during removal and protects the wound edges and the surrounding skin.
- Curves towards the wound bed to reduce exudate accumulation in cavities
- Absorbs vertically to protect the skin surrounding the wound from maceration
- Retains wound exudate in the dressing to reduce the risk of leakage under compression
