The elastic compression bandage is 25 cm wide and provided with a padding, which is to lie on the abdomen. Owing to a hook and loop fastener the bandage has an adjustment tolerance of approx. 10 cm. The abdominal padding distributes the pressure over the stomach’s surface evenly and consequently relieves the stitched wound after operations in the abdominal room. It is not intended for permanent use as bandage for back problems.
