ALGIPAD™ are sterile, non-adhesive compresses based on calcium alginate. They can be used on both sides and folded. This type of dressing is characterised by its granulation-promoting, wound-cleansing and haemostatic effect. They have a high absorption capacity and have the ability to form a gel when absorbing fluid. Bacteria and cell debris are also safely absorbed. The alginate pads should remain on the puncture sites for a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 24 hours.
