3M™ Silvercel™ Non-adherent antimicrobial hydroalginate dressing with silver and Easylift™ precision film technology.
The Silvercel dressing is effective against a broad spectrum of wound pathogens including MRSA, MRSE and VRE. This antimicrobial effect is provided by a sustained release of silver ions for up to 7 days depending on wound condition and exudate volume. This dressing is a non-woven dressing consisting of alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and silver-coated nylon fibres with EASYLIFT™ precision film technology and has a non-adherent wound contact layer. This antimicrobial dressing enables pain-free debridement and provides effective protection of the newly formed tissue by minimising fibre detachment.
