The loban™ 2 antimicrobial incision film contains an iodophor that continuously releases its effect during the procedure. The film adheres securely to the wound edge, even with strong manipulation and retraction as well as with accompanying requirements such as fluids. The antimicrobial-coated incision film offers both physical and chemical protection against bacterial contamination. As a component of the adhesive, this product continuously releases iodophor onto the skin surface, even during time-intensive operations. The use of this film is generally recommended for all operations. However, it is particularly important for orthopaedic, cardiovascular and neurosurgical procedures.
