The face shield was developed for the resuscitation on adults in emergency situations. It is additive for the mouth to mouth resuscitation which should avoid the direct contact to the patient and reduce as well the risk of contamination as the inhibition threshold during mouth resuscitation. The one way valve lets the air flow into the patients direction only.
