The Shaker is an easy-to-use respiratory device for mobilising pulmonary secretions such as mucus and catarrh, to improve breathing in people suffering from respiratory conditions including cystic fibrosis, asthma and chronic bronchitis. Inside the casing of the Shaker Classic is a weighted ball. By breathing into the Shaker Classic, the ball is raised, but then falls under its own weight. This rise and fall action happens extremely quickly and to the user, feels like a vibration. This vibration, combined with the gentle resistance created by breathing against the ball causes a number of positive benefits. Changes in air pressure mean the smaller airways are encouraged to open, increasing lung usage and efficiency. The TRI-BALL® exercises the limited respiratory function of the respiratory system. Disruptive factor is a considerable reduction of the lung volume due to bronchopulmonary surgeries of the thorax and upper abdomen. Therapy concept: The respiratory exerciser TRI-BALL® helps the patient to lift two balls in the TRI-BALL® by slowly deep inspiration. The third ball shall avoid a too high inspiratory flow. For respiration therapy the patient shall keep the balls in the first and in the second chamber floating. The third ball should not be lifted up. TRI-BALL® is very well accepted by the patients. It relieves the care personnel. TRI-BALL® is intended for single patient use. A label on the bottom of the device can be used for patient's data. To keep the device in a hygienic condition, the mouthpiece and the tube should be washed after every use.
