The bacteria filter is needed to filtrate aspirated air. Its hydrophobe PTFE-membrane is air permeable but bacteria and fluids will be filtered out, so the unit can't be contaminated. The external filter is only necessary in container systems which do not use a hydrophobic filter as overflow control. It is there to prevent over-suction if mechanical overflow control mechanisms should fail. The filter will be placed between the aspiration port and the lid of the suction container. Please consider that the inscribtion IN must show in the direktion of the suction container. Bacteria and viruses filter efficiency 99.999 % and aerosol retention 99.97 %.
