Stammberger Sinu-Foam® acts as a physical hydrocolloid barrier based on carboxymethylcellulose dry fibres (CMC) in a syringe. When mixed in the correct proportions, the dry fibres form a moist, viscous and soluble foam dressing. The set contains an additional mixing syringe and a dispensing cannula. An intranasal splint is designed to minimise bleeding and oedema and prevent adhesions between the septum and the nasal cavity. The splint is placed in the nasal cavity after surgery or trauma. The intranasal splint is made of plastic, silicone or absorbent materials.
